Adrian Peterson Facing Re-Arrest

After admitting he "smoked a little weed" before he took a court ordered drug test, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson could possibly be rearrested!  He showed up to court on Wednesday for proceedings related to a child abuse case, which prohibits the use of illegal drug use as part of his bond agreement.  Paperwork has been filed by prosecutors in Montgomery County, Texas to have Peterson’s bail revoked.

As a part of his proceedings to his trial for felony child abuse, Peterson was required to submit a urine sample.  Supposedly, the NFL player admitted to the supervisor who collected his urine sample that he smoked a little weed before the test.

The district attorney's office wrote in the charging document regarding the Peterson Case, “In light of this statement, and the fact that it was made during the urinalysis testing process, and the term ‘weed’ is a common slang term for marijuana, the state argues that the defendant has smoked marijuana while on bond.”

The trial has been set to begin on December 1st of this year.  Peterson has been released on a $15,000 bond and a bond revocation or any arrest warrant will not issued before a hearing is held on whether the judge hearing Peterson's case agrees that he should be recused.  A hearing has not yet been scheduled.
