At Albany's Egg Theater this weekend, Melissa Etheridge, rock legend and breast cancer survivor, delivered an amazing performance.  In between songs, Etheridge asked Governor Cuomo and the state senate to stop procrastinating in giving New Yorkers access to medical marijuana.  She asked, “Tonight, I am calling on Governor Cuomo and the New York State legislature to stand with patients across New York and pass the Compassionate Care Act without further delay,”

Melissa Etheridge has openly spoken about her medical marijuana use during her treatment for Stage 2 breast cancer in the past and continues to advocate for the medical benefits of marijuana.  She continued to tell her fans, “Tonight, I stand with those patients, with their caregivers, and with the vast majority of New Yorkers who support medical marijuana.”
