$10M of Marijuana Found In Avocado Pulp

These days, smugglers are becoming more and more clever with shipping their contraband.  In this circumstance, the culprits froze $10 million worth of marijuana with avocado pulp and sent it to Lyons, Illinois.

The workers in the facility called the police after recognizing a suspicious package had been marked for "urgent pick up."  Cook County Sheriff's arrived on scene with with a narcotics-sniffing dog, which immediately detected drugs.  Ultimately, 2,100 pounds of marijuana was discovered in the building.  The cannabis was hidden in nearly 1,500 packages of frozen avocado pulp.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and sheriff’s department are continuing to investigate the matter.
