CO Pot Farm Tied To Mexican Cartel Raided
An illegal marijuana farm with ties to the Mexican cartel was raided and all crops were seized by authorities. The mission, named "Operation Flypaper III," was led by the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office included the DEA, FBI and Colorado National Guard.
The farm is said to be, "the fourth illegal marijuana grow site discovered in the area in less than four years.” Hikers have been said to have reported strange activity of people walkin around with irrigation tubes, which led the DEA to get aerial confirmation of an illegal marijuana growing facility. The operation was planned months in advance.
The owner of the land claimed to have no idea that marijuana was growing on his property. He let authorities conduct their search and confiscate all plants. No arrests have been made so far.
