Coast Guard Finds 900 Lbs of Weed Near Haiti

Last Tuesday, the U.S Coast Guard was alerted about some suspicious activity on a speed boat near the coast of Haiti.  Chief Petty Officer Ryan Doss said the crew chased the boat, however they weren't fast enough to stop it.  Doss stated, "It is always a challenge, but we definitely have the capability to stop them.  But in this particular case it just did not work out, and we were not be able to stop them."

The passengers of the boat began dumping numerous pales of what the Coast Guard found to be 900 pounds of marijuana.  While the boat ended up getting away, it is assumed that the occupants lost most, if not all of their inventory was thrown overboard.
