Detroit Man Robbed Of Plants Then Fatally Shot

A 60-year-old resident of the 17000 block of Ward was robbed of his cannabis plants and fatally shot on Friday.  Three individuals were seen to ave knocked on his door, entered the home and removing marijuana plants from his house.

Michael Woody, director of media relations for the Detroit Police Department, stated that the suspects chased the 46-year-old wife of the residence around the house before she escaped through a window, unharmed, and ran down the street for safety.

There is no word as to why the robbery occurred although it seemed to be apparent that the homeowner had a grow operation inside of the household.  The three suspects, however, were seen leaving the scene in a gold or tan older model Mercury Grand Marquis.  One is said to be a black male in his 30's, 5'6" tall, 170 pounds with a goatee who was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.  The other two suspects have no description.
