Dog Sniffs & Finds $25K Worth Of Pot!

Lee Alan Minchew was pulled over at around 4pm on May 3 after authorities spotted him breaking several traffic laws. A traffic stop turned into a major drug bust when Ricky, the K9, sniffed out $225,000 worth of marijuana in Minchew's pickup truck.

Four large cardboard boxes were packed in the bed of his truck, each filled with 72 vacuum sealed bags of marijuana. Every bad was wrapped in multiple layers of plastic wrap and each contained at least a pound of cannabis. A total of 75 pounds was discovered.

According to the Ocala Star-Banner, the street value of the pot could range from $3,000-5,000 per pound.

Minchew was booked into Marion County Jail for trafficking more than 25 pounds of marijuana. He posted a $25,000 bond on Wednesday.
