Humboldt County FD Saves The Weed!
While putting out the fire at a burning structure that contained a drying harvest, the Humboldt County Fire Department saved some of the plants and even left them at the property before they departed. The Humboldt, Mendocino and Trinity counties make up the country's number 1 marijuana-producing area, which is probably a reason why the marijuana was left alone.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation according to Fire Battalion Chief Marty Hobbs and the value of the plants is also still unknown. It has not been said how many plants have been destroyed or affected however, the firefighters carried the unaffected plants outside and placed them on a tarp.
