Man Nearly Beaten To Death Over Marijuana
A mother, her boyfriend and her son are all being charged for the alleged vicious assault of a man they claim tried to plant drugs on their property. The male victim has not been identified but claims to have been taken to Vickie Goode's home in Limestone County, Alabama and was severely beaten.
Police responded to a shots fired call at the home earlier in the day where Goode's son, Justin, was in the car with two others. The three were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Later, police responded to another call where a victim was found bloody.
The victim claims to have been beaten by Justin Goode with a shovel, kicked in the head, thrown into a wheelbarrow and into the swimming pool. Vickie then slapped and punched him and Timothy Gordon (Goode's boyfriend) slammed his head on the concrete and fired shots at him.
The beating supposedly occurred because the victim attempted to plant marijuana on Goode's property. Police are still investigating the crime and motive.
Vickie Goode was released on $5,000 bond while Justin remains in Limestone County Jail with his bond set at $5,000. Gordon was released on $6,000 bond.
