MMJ Bill On 2016 Ballot For Florida?

Currently, the state of Florida only has a restrictive CBD-oil only law however, this year the state may introduce a medical marijuana bill on the 2016 ballot. A Florida advocacy group collected more than 666,000 signatures as of Monday, leaving only 20,000 more needed to validate te petition.

United for Care director, Ben Pollara, told Sunshine State News, “I am confident we have turned in enough petitions to make the ballot by the deadline next week."  If passed, the bill would allow medical use of marijuana by qualified patients and would protect physicians from criminal penalties or civil liabilities for prescribing medical marijuana in Florida.

In order to qualify for medical marijuana treatment in the state of Florida, you must suffer from certain “debilitating” health conditions, including cancer, HIV/AIDS, epilepsy and glaucoma.
