Man Brings Weed To Court In New Jersey

A Connecticut man showed up to the Port Authority court in New Jersey for his DUI and  marijuana possession hearing with marijuana in his possession!  Richard Thompson, 32, showed up to court around 10:20 AM according to court security.  Thompson went through security like everyone else and upon handing over his bag to the security officers, they discovered just under 50 grams of marijuana.

Port Authority Police Officer Steve Pisciotta arrested Thompson on charges of having marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  They also found two packages of rolling papers and an unrolled cigar wrapper.  He has been charged with possession of 50 grams or less of marijuana as well as possession of paraphernalia.  Each charge carries up to $1,000 in fines and six months in jail.

Thompson is no stranger to his arresting officer.  He was arrested by Pisciotta back in May at the George Washington Bridge for driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and having marijuana in his car, police said.
