Will NY Create An Emergency MMJ Program?
Gov. Cuomo should be feeling the pressure to create an emergency medical marijuana program for New Yorkers suffering from AIDS or epilepsy. Advocates for the program are prepared to rally outside of the governors Manhattann office on Tuesday, which is the day before his deadline to either sign or veto the bill.
The measure was passed by lawmakers earlier this year because there are many critically ill New Yorkers that could benefit from medical marijuana. It is still uncertain what decision the governor will make.
