Pennsylvania Legalizes Medical Marijuana!
Governor Tom Wolf described Sunday as, "a great day for Pennsylvania and a great day for Pennsylvanians," after he signed the bill to legalize medical cannabis. The full MMJ program is expected to be up and running within the next two years.
The state Department of Health can now authorize up to 150 medical marijuana to set up shop in the state. Similar to New York, only pills, oils, and creams will be available to approved medical patients.
Senator Daylin Leach, a Democrat, told reporters, "We stopped being liberals and started being problem solvers, and we stopped being conservatives and started being compromisers." Senator Mike Vereb, a Republican agreed, stating, "What we are doing here today is the healer,"
